About the Labs
1. What age range are the EdReal labs designed for?
Each lab is designed for a specific age range: AI Literacy Lab (ages 8–18), Self-Driving Cars Lab (ages 8–13), Smart City Lab (ages 10–15), and Clean Energy Lab (ages 8–13). All labs are designed to be explored by students and adults together — the adult learns and grows right alongside the student.
2. Do adults need any prior STEM or AI experience?
Not at all. EdReal labs are built for curious adults, not experts. Every lab includes a comprehensive Parent and Facilitator Guide that walks adults through each session. You don't need a STEM background, an engineering degree, or any prior experience with AI or technology. Just bring your curiosity.
3. How long does each lab take to complete?
Most EdReal labs are designed for approximately 12 weeks of guided exploration, with flexible sessions that fit into your family's schedule. You set the pace. Some families move faster; others take their time. There's no deadline.
4. Is this a self-study program?
No. EdReal labs are designed for collaborative, guided learning — not self-study. Each lab is built for a student and an adult to explore together. The Parent and Facilitator Guide is a core part of every kit. The adult is not just a helper — they are a co-learner.
Homeschool Families
1. Are EdReal labs designed for homeschool use?
Yes. EdReal labs are an excellent fit for homeschool families. The structured, discussion-driven format works well for home environments. The Parent and Facilitator Guide provides session-by-session guidance so you can lead confidently without prior teaching experience.
2. Can I use EdReal as part of our homeschool curriculum?
EdReal labs complement existing homeschool curriculum beautifully. They are not designed as a replacement for core academics but as enrichment experiences in technology, engineering, and future-focused learning. Many homeschool families use EdReal as their dedicated STEM or technology exploration program.
Group and Community Learning
1. Can EdReal labs be used in learning pods or small groups?
Absolutely. EdReal labs work well in learning pods, co-ops, and small groups. Each lab kit is designed for one student and one adult facilitator, so for group use, you may need multiple kits depending on your group size.
2. Can teachers or after-school program directors use EdReal?
Yes. EdReal is designed for use in after-school programs, community organizations, libraries, and other learning environments. The Facilitator Guide makes it easy to lead sessions without prior STEM expertise.
Ordering and Shipping
1. How much do the labs cost?
Each lab is $159. All labs ship free within the United States.
2. How long does shipping take?
Orders typically ship within 2–3 business days. Standard delivery within the United States typically takes 5–8 business days after shipment.
3. Do you ship internationally?
Currently, EdReal ships within the United States only. International shipping options will be announced when available.
Returns
1. What is your return policy?
EdReal accepts returns within 30 days of purchase for products that are unopened, with the original seal intact, and in original packaging condition. Because our labs contain educational materials and project components, opened products cannot be returned. Please review the full Return Policy for details.
2. Can I return a lab if we've already opened it?
Unfortunately, opened labs cannot be returned. Because each kit contains educational materials and hands-on project components, we are unable to accept returns on opened products. If you have a concern about your order, please contact our team at hello@edreal.org.
